🍲🌸🥢 (Osaka’s Takoyaki and Beyond) Yudofu Simplicity
Embrace the comfort of subtly flavored tofu simmered in a delicate kombu broth, a testament to the sophistication of simplicity in Osakan cuisine.

🥣 Ingredients:
– 400g silken tofu
– 1 liter water
– 30g dried kombu
– 2 green onions, thinly sliced
– Salt, to taste

🧑‍🍳 Preparation:
1. Gently clean the kombu with a damp cloth without removing the white powdery umami substances.
2. Place kombu and water in a pot and let soak for 30 minutes. After soaking, heat the water until it’s about to boil, then remove the kombu.
3. Cut tofu into 4cm cubes and carefully add them to the pot. Simmer for about 4-5 minutes.
4. Add a pinch of salt to the broth and adjust the taste as you like.
5. Serve in individual bowls, topped with fresh green onions. Recreate the aesthetic with soft natural light for that minimalist appeal.

😅 Bonus:
Did you know? Yudofu is a dish beloved during Japan’s winter months—it’s like a warm hug from the inside!
