🥗🍃🌱 Bold flavors await in our Vegetarian Feast! Vegetarian Spring Rolls
Delicate and crispy spring rolls filled with a medley of julienned vegetables, symbolizing wealth and a fresh start, commonly found in Chinese celebrations.
🥣 Ingredients:
– 8 spring roll wrappers
– 1 carrot, julienned
– 1 bell pepper, julienned
– 1/4 cabbage, finely shredded
– 50g bean sprouts
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tsp sesame oil
– Salt to taste
– Cooking oil for frying
🧑🍳 Preparation:
1. Soften spring roll wrappers as per package instructions.
2. Toss carrots, bell pepper, cabbage, and bean sprouts with soy sauce, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt.
3. Place a portion of the vegetable mix onto each wrapper and roll tightly, sealing the edge with a bit of water.
4. In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Fry rolls until golden, then place on a bamboo mat to drain and cool.
5. Serve partially unwrapped to show off the vibrant filling, as seen in our dynamic photo.
😅 Bonus: Did you know spring rolls are called “spring” because they are traditionally eaten during the Chinese New Year, the start of spring!
