Thai Basil Sushi Rolls (泰式羅勒壽司卷)

🍣🌿🍃 Brave the Asian Fusion Challenge with our Thai Basil Sushi Rolls.
Simple yet refreshingly novel, their herbaceous zing makes for bite-sized perfect appetizers.

🥣 Ingredients:
– 200g sushi rice
– 4 nori sheets
– 1 cucumber, julienned
– 1 avocado, thinly sliced
– 100g fresh Thai basil leaves
– 100g smoked salmon
– Soy sauce (for dipping)
– Pickled ginger (for garnish)
– Wasabi (optional)

🧑‍🍳 Preparation:
1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions, then let it cool.
2. Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat, spread an even layer of rice on the nori, leaving a small margin at the top.
3. Place Thai basil leaves, cucumber, avocado, and smoked salmon in rows on the rice.
4. Lift the edge of the bamboo mat closest to you and roll it away from you, pressing firmly.
5. Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces and garnish with additional Thai basil leaves.
6. Serve on a bamboo mat to enhance the organic vibe, with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and a touch of wasabi if you like.
