🌶️🍜🌶️ Bold flavor alert: (Spicy Sichuan Week) Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles are hitting your feed! Spicy and numbing noodles topped with minced pork and peanuts. Street-style obsession you can whip up at home!
🥣 Ingredients:
– 200g wheat noodles
– 300g minced pork
– 2 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
– 3 tbsp soy sauce
– 2 tbsp sesame paste (or peanut butter)
– 2 tbsp chili oil
– 4 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 bunch of green onions, chopped
– Handful of roasted peanuts, crushed
– Sesame seeds for garnish
🧑🍳 Preparation:
1. Boil noodles as per package instructions, drain, and set aside.
2. Heat a pan, add minced pork, and brown until cooked.
3. Crush Sichuan peppercorns and mix with soy sauce, sesame paste, chili oil, and garlic to create the sauce.
4. Pour sauce over noodles, add in minced pork, toss well.
5. Garnish with green onions, peanuts, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds, mirroring that street-food vibe.
😅 Did you know? Dan Dan Noodles get their name from the pole (“dan”) street vendors carried with baskets of noodles and sauce on each end!
