🍁🍚🍂 Get a taste of Guangzhou Dim Sum Delights with our Guangzhou Roast Goose! This Cantonese favorite is a symphony of crispy skin and succulent meat, touched with aromatic sauces. 🥢
🥣 Ingredients:
– 1 whole goose (about 2-3 kg)
– 1 tbsp Salt
– 2 tsp Five-spice powder
– 3 tbsp Honey
– 1 tbsp Soy sauce
– 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
– 1 piece Ginger (sliced)
– 4 Green onions
🧑🍳 Preparation:
1. Clean the goose and pat dry. Rub the entire surface with salt and five-spice powder.
2. Mix honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar to create the glaze. Brush the goose with half of the glaze.
3. Preheat oven to 180°C. Stuff the goose with ginger and green onions. Roast for 1.5 hours or until golden.
4. Halfway through, baste the goose with remaining glaze. Continue roasting until crispy.
5. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Carve and serve against a dark backdrop with minimal garnish for that stunning visual.
