🍦🌿🌶️ Bold in Bangkok (Fiery Thai Basil Ice Cream)
An adventurous dessert featuring a creamy texture with an infusion of Thai basil and a surprising hint of heat.
🥣 Ingredients:
– 2 cups full-fat coconut milk
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 pinch of sea salt
– 1 bunch Thai basil leaves
– 2 teaspoon chili flakes
🧑🍳 Preparation:
1. Heat the coconut milk, heavy cream, sugar, and salt in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves.
2. Add the Thai basil leaves, simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat.
3. Let the mixture cool down, then strain out the basil.
4. Mix in chili flakes, according to your desired heat level.
5. Churn in an ice cream maker, then freeze for 4 hours.
6. Serve cool, creamy scoops garnished with a fresh basil leaf against a mock Bangkok cityscape.
